What does the check ask?
Eight questions on each of three assistants, 24 answers in all. Five discovery questions do not use your name: the best business of your kind in your city, one with good reviews, who the best one near your city is, top rated ones in your city, and recommendations for your city. Three branded questions use your name: reviews, hours and phone number, and whether it is any good. For a medical or dental practice the questions use the specialty's own noun and patient wording, such as a practice accepting new patients.
Why do you ask for my website instead of my business name?
So you type less and we check more. We read your business name, city and what you do from your site and show them to you to confirm or correct before the report runs. The website is also what we look for among the sources each assistant cites. If we cannot read your site, you fill in the details yourself.
Is it only for medical practices?
No. Any local business can run it: a plumber, a law firm, a salon, a restaurant, an accountant. Medical and dental practices pick their specialty so the questions use patient wording. Everyone else types what they do.
Which AI assistants does it use?
ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, each with web search turned on so it can cite pages. Each assistant is asked every question once.
How long does it take?
About a minute. The report page refreshes itself every eight seconds and shows the elapsed time until the answers are in.
What do named, cited, not named and not measured mean?
Named means your business name appears in the assistant's answer text. Cited means your website appears among the sources the assistant linked, which is only checked when you give a website. Not named means the assistant answered and your business was not in the answer. Not measured means that assistant did not return a usable answer, with the reason shown, and it is never counted as not named.
Is the check free, and what happens with my email?
It is free. The team behind MedReception AI pays for the queries. We ask for an email because the report takes a minute to produce and because we may follow up with you about the report. If you run a medical or dental practice we may also tell you about MedReception AI. There is no newsletter.
Can I run it again?
The same business and city within seven days returns the existing report instead of running a new one. There is also a daily cap across the whole site; when it is reached, the form says so and asks you to try tomorrow.
Does the report say why an assistant did not name my business?
No. It shows what each assistant said instead, in the assistant's own words, and three plain steps any business can take. We do not guess at an assistant's reasons and we do not make promises about what it will say later.
