What do missed calls cost your practice?
Three numbers from you, one estimate from us. The estimate is the only industry figure on this page: practices miss about 30 to 50 percent of calls. Everything else is your own data, and the result is shown as a range for that band.
What missed calls cost
How it is calculated
Missed calls per weekday is your call count times the share missed. New patients among them is that figure times your new-patient share. The monthly cost is new patients missed per weekday, times your value of a new patient, times 21 weekdays. The yearly cost is twelve months of that.
The calculator does not assume every missed caller was a lost patient; that is why it asks for your new-patient share rather than supplying one. If you want a conservative figure, lower that share. If you want to know how bad it really is, pull the inbound attempt log from your phone system and enter the real count instead of a guess.
